SPRING 2007

FROM YOUR AREA CHAIR:

Hello to all,

The upcoming assembly is in March due to the Easter holiday. Although this is earlier than our usual spring assembly we will still be focusing on agenda items for the General Service Conference in New York. Our delegate, Fred H., will be looking for the Area’s group conscience on agenda items that will be discussed in the administrative committee meetings and workshops on Saturday. Saturday night will be the Conference Agenda Meeting instead of a speaker meeting and Sunday morning will be the usual business meeting. There is no old business being carried over from last assembly thus no motions coming from Growth to be voted on. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next assembly.

Love and service,
Tina C-L.
Area 14 Chair

FROM YOUR DELEGATE:

I have been preparing for the 2007 General Service Conference that will be held in New York City from April 21-28, 2007. I anticipate receiving the conference agenda items and background information by about the middle of February. The information from GSO will be sent to me in a CD format and I plan to duplicate the CD and forward a copy to all of the Area 14 Officers, Administrative Chairs, Service Coordinators & DCM’s.

I am requesting that the DCM’s review the agenda items on the CD and share the information with all of the GSR’s in their districts. This will allow the GSR’s sufficient time to take the information back to their groups and for the groups to provide an informed group conscience. If anyone does not have the ability to view the CD please contact me and I will provide you a written copy of the information.

We will be reviewing all of the agenda items during the Saturday night meeting on March 24, 2007 to allow me the time to summarize all the information and provide a fully informed conscience of Area 14 at the conference.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve and I look forward to seeing you in March.

Yours in Service,
Fred H.
Area 14 Delegate
